The Ethiopian Investment Commission, in collaboration with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, held talks with the Pakistani investment and trade delegation.

EIC held a discussion with Pakistani business delegation in an investment promotion event organized joint with MoFA, in the presence of H.E Deputy PM & Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen.

In his remark, H.E DPM briefed delegates on the investment potential of the country, the commitment of the Gov’t of Ethiopia, and the significance of such an event to further strengthen the economic ties between the two countries.

In the event, H.E Commissioner Lelise explained the economic reforms that have been undertaken by the government, and the improved policy and legal framework that are supporting the growth of private sector participation in the economy. The Commissioner has further presented the investment opportunities, incentive packages, and support mechanisms put in place.

The business delegate has shown keen interest to explore further trade and investment opportunities. The Ambassador of both countries has also declared the commitment to realize common interests and strengthen the economic relation between Ethiopia and Pakistan.
